Hi there,

The song of celebration which up to this point has dwelt on the facts of the miraculous deliverance, now turns to the attributes of God and doesn't return to the vanquishing of the Egyptians again.

God leads His people with a perfect combination of unfailing love and guiding strength.

The wonder of the people has turned to confidence in their God and his plans for them, which in turn will strike fear into their enemies.

Today's text is Exodus 15:12-14

Exodus 15

“You stretch out your right hand,
and the earth swallows your enemies.

¹³ In your unfailing love you will lead
the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
to your holy dwelling.

¹⁴ The nations will hear and tremble;
anguish will grip the people of Philistia.

Encouragement

Moses and the Israelites have quickly turned from their initial relief and joy to becoming expectant and hopeful for the future.

Because they have seen God's power at work in their lives and their deliverance, they are now emboldened with trust and hope in His nature (love) and his power (strength) and can see His purposes unfolding in front of their eyes.
