"Thank You" is a verb
Thanksgiving is an act of remembrance

Meditation
Hi there,
If you're here in America, "Happy Thanksgiving!" and if you're one of our many subscribers from all around the globe, Happy Thursday!
We reached the end of our short season on Thanksgiving yesterday, having copied out Psalm 95 which provided a model and example of God-glorifying Thanksgiving.
Our advent season begins on December 1. As I did last year, I'm going to post passages taken from the now-traditional "Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols" from King's College Cambridge. You can learn more about this beautiful service here.
For now, though, I'd like to thank you for being a subscriber to Bible Copy Club.
When I started BCC in February 2023, I sincerely believed that the discipline of creating these daily emails would be good for my faith and maybe for others too.
But I could not have imagined how good and in which ways. Your subscription to, and engagement with, BCC has blessed me richly. Thank you for opening my emails, sending me notes of encouragement and correction, and your photos of completed passages...and please do keep them coming.
In my research on the Thanksgiving series, I came across two quotes that particularly informed my commentary;
"When we express gratitude in all things, we not only praise our Creator, we also get to know Him better."
Dustin Crowe
“It’s one thing to be grateful. It’s another to give thanks. Gratitude is what you feel. Thanksgiving is what you do.”
Tim Keller
Thanksgiving is an act, not a feeling, and in the act, we come to know God more fully and richly.

God's Word in Your Hand
One last thing...
Today's image is taken from God's Fingerprints, which I have linked here. If you haven't visited this site before, you're in for a treat.
Their gifts are beautifully produced works of art built on God's word. This short 2 minute video outlines their incredible origin story and will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck in gratitude for God and His purposes.
Between now and Monday everything on their site is 20% off (None of these links is an affiliate link. I'm just a big, thankful, fan)
Bible Copy Club will always be free, but if it has improved your quiet time, deepened your appreciation of the word, and brought you closer to the Lord, please consider sharing that gift with others by forwarding this link or by supporting us.
I invest every penny in reaching new subscribers and each $5 means we reach 10 more people.
