Prep for next week

Some weekend reading to bridge gaps in the action

Meditation

Hi there,

We've completed the first week of our Easter series, which has set the stage for all that's going to come.

We're now skipping ahead from Matthew 21 to the end of Matthew 22, and then straight on to Matthew 26, missing out on some of Jesus's teachings in the temple. My goal with this series is to stick with the key actions, so I'm missing some of the teachings.

So we'll skip the parable of the two sons, the parable of the tenants, the parable of the wedding feast, and some conversation between Jesus and the Pharisees regarding taxes and the resurrection.

We'll pick up on Monday with the great commandment.

You might like to spend some time this weekend reading the passages we've skipped and maybe noting and copying elements that stand out to you.

This upcoming week, we'll begin with the greatest commandment and end with Judas' betrayal, taking passages from Matthew 22 and then from Matthew 26.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, you might want to read chapters 23, 24, and 25 that bridge the end of chapter 22 to the beginning of chapter 26.

I'm going to send a brief note tomorrow with a recap of my thoughts on what we copied this past week.

Until tomorrow,

Andy
