- The shortest prayer is long enough
The shortest prayer is long enough
Sometimes less is more. This short Psalm is full of truth

Meditation
Hi there,
So far this week, we've copied out a long prayer from David, taken from 2 Samuel Chapter 7, and Nehemiah's prayer yesterday.
Today, we are copying out the shortest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 117.
Psalm 117 is also the 595th chapter of the Bible, making it the halfway point in your Bible. There are exactly 594 chapters before it and 594 after it.
Quoted by Paul in Romans 15:11, this Psalm is a call for people everywhere to praise God for his faithfulness and love. I once read that "the shortest prayer is long enough," and so it is with this passage.
Hand-copying the Bible is an intentional decision to slow down and let the word work its way into our hearts.
So today, plan to savor this passage, not as an "easy day" but as an opportunity to slow down and meditate on it fully.
Today's text is Psalm 117
Psalm 117
Praise the Lord, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.
Encouragement
Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him
Romans 15:11
