What and how to love
Living in life-and-love-giving community

Meditation
Hi there,
The church is the body of Christ working as one in the ministry of the gospel and filling us with exciting potential when we choose to live in a life-giving community with each other.
Our walk is to be worthy, unified, and purified.
As Jesus prepared to leave this world, He told His disciples something deeply revealing in John 13:34–35. True followers of Jesus are not defined by doctrine, denomination, or the lines we draw in the sand. They are recognized by love, the kind of love that gives itself for the good of others. What you love is as important as how you love.
Ephesians 5:1–2 calls us to that same sacrificial love, modeled after Christ Himself. This love pleases God because it reflects His own nature; pure, self-giving, and devoted to others’ highest good.
In verses 3–6, Paul draws the contrast sharply. Those who belong to Christ are called saints, holy ones set apart for His purposes, and they are to walk accordingly.
God calls you a saint , a holy one. But He also calls you to walk like it. Love what Christ loves, and you’ll walk like a Christ-follower.
Today's verses are Ephesians 5:1-6
5 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Encouragement
11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
